Explained Simply

A paper wallet is one of the earliest forms of cold storage — your private key or seed phrase is written or printed on paper and stored offline. While paper wallets protect against digital hacking, they are vulnerable to physical damage (fire, water, fading) and theft. Most security experts now recommend hardware wallets over paper wallets because they offer better protection and usability. If you do use paper storage for your seed phrase, consider metal backup plates that resist fire and water damage.
